Muslim board man raps Sania

MALDA. (India) Sept. 22. — Dr Raisuddin, a member of the Muslim Personal Law Board, today said Sania’s attire and not her recent success in international tennis had impressed the people of Kolkata. Speaking to reporters here today, Dr Raisuddin objected to her selection of dress and demanded a new dress code for international tennis players. He also advocated the use of “burkha” by Muslim women teachers. Dr Raisuddin was present at a press conference today called by the Students’ Islamic Organisation, Malda unit. The SIO will organise its first state conference at the South Malda College from 11 to 13 November this year. Dr Raisuddin and others told reporters that the state government and the state madrasa education board had failed to implement the suggestion of the Kidwai Committee for development of the education system.
