Eunuchs seek action

MALDA, Dec 4: A group of 25 eunuchs literary raided the English Bazaar Municipality and police station this afternoon demanding administrative action against another group of eunuchs coming from Jharkhand and Bihar who had allegedly captured their Malda markets. The group leaders Rasina, Hasina and Sonu alleged that the eunuchs with the help of local criminals had attacked them several times and threatened them to drive the other group out of the Malda area. The group first entered the civic body chief’s chamber, then went to the IC’s chamber who said them that he would look into the matter. They alleged that some local criminals living in Malda town station had threatened them and provided shelter for their rival groups here. “If police do not take action against them their state leaders from Kolkata will be coming here to stage agitation in front of the English Bazaar police station”, they said.
