The robbers, who came on a two-wheeler,  assaulted the trader, but he clung to them and shouted for help. Alerted, the locals managed to catch the three criminals and lynched them.
The locals took petrol from the fuel tank of the two-wheeler and set the vehicle and the criminals on fire. While one died on the spot, a second robber died in
hospital.
According to the OC, Gazole police station, Mr M Rahman, police have identified the surviving criminal as Miraj Sheikh, a resident of Jalalpur in Kaliachak.

The incident has once again raised the matter of security in banks. “We are concerned about the lack of security in the banks.
