MALDA, Nov 22: The district Congress president Mrs Rubi Noor today sought clarification from the English Bazaar MLA Mr KN Choudhury for opposing the Congress led civic board meeting to resolve the crisis in English Bazaar Municipality.The meeting continued for over four hours where the civic body chief Mr Narendranath Tiwari and Congress councillor Mr Asis Kundu criticised Mr Choudhury's actions and accused him of conspiring against the board. Sources said Mr Choudhury expressed his grievances against the board members, including the chairman. Seven councillors out of 14, all followers of Mr Choudhury, had withdrawn support from the board a few days back. The civic body chief Mr Tiwari is, however, hoping that seven rebel members would support him at the board of councillors meeting scheduled to be held on 27 November. "I don't know what they will do on 27 November”, said Mr KN Choudhury.
