MALDA, Nov 15: - Food inspector Mortuza Hossian was assaulted by a angry mob at Ratua II block this afternoon, the Malda district controller of food and supplies said.The angry villagers were demanding action against the corrupt dealers. Villagers alleged that food inspectors are reluctant to take action against the modified ration dealers. The DCFS Mr N K Saha said: "The inspector lodged a complaint with the Ratua police station. No one has been arrested so far". Villagers attacked him when he was working at his office in Ratua Block II office, Mr. Saha added.
