Malda SP seeks for police report on illegal house possession

MALDA, 21 OCT: Malda SP Mr Bhuban Mandal has asked the inspector-in-charge of Harishchandrapur police station to submit a report against the persons who allegedly took possession of a house illegally at Tentulbari-Mahuapara, quite near to the police station, as soon as possible.
The owner of the house, Sheikh Mafijur Rahaman, alleged that he lodged a complaint with the local police station on 7 October but no initiative to nab the accused were taken up.
Later he appealed to the chief minister by e-mail seeking justice and also informed the top police officiers including the IGP of north Bengal.
According to his complaint four “criminals” in-league with some government officials of the registry office made a false deed and managed to make it registered with the help of false signature or thumb impression and took possession of his house located at Tentulbari, which is at a stone throwing distance from the Harishchandrapur police station.
Mr Rahaman, who presently stay at Gurgaon for his service, tried to contact the local police and urged the Malda SP over phone to take action against them.
He also mentioned the name of four persons ~ Mohd Alauddin, Mohd Abdus Salam, Mohd Abdul Kalam and Mohd Asraful Alam ~ residents of Harishchandrapur, who threatened Mr Rahman over phone with dire consequences for lodging complaint with the police.
The Malda SP Mr Bhuban Mandal said: “Police have started a case on the basis of his complaint. I have sought a detailed report from the IC of the Harishchandrapur police station to take necessary action.”
