MALDA, June 17: Frightened by the recent murder of English Bazaar Municipality vice chairman and Malda district Intuc president Biswanath Guho, Malda Congress leader and EBM chairman Mr Narendranath Tiwari today sought police protection for himself. Mr Tiwari also cited the recent attack on Trinamul district president and chairman-in-council, EBM Mr Dulal Sarkar as another reason for seeking police protection. Despite rumours abounding about the two incidents, neither the police administration nor Mr Tiwari have succeeded in discovering the reasons that lead to the dual incidents. n SNS
