MALDA, July 22: A girl was killed just three days after her marriage at 16-Mile village under Kaliachak police station, police said today. The victim dentified as Raseda Bibi (19) was found murdered near an embankment early this morning. She was strangled to death, police said. Police also recovered a scarf near the site.She married a local youth, Asraful Hoque, on 19 July without the consent of her parents. Asraful eloped with her few days back and took her to his home yesterday, locals informed police. Though Raseda’s uncle lodged an FIR against Asraful and his family members ,no one has been arrested so far. n SNS
