CID busts fake mark sheet racket


MALDA, Dec 2: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has identified a group of people involved in a fake Madhyamik mark sheet racket in Malda. After the completion of a thorough investigation in October it was revealed that the complaint was true and the Malda CID officials recently submitted its investigation report to the headquarters for necessary action. The Malda CID officials had also informed the matter to the Malda district inspector of schools (secondary). But no action has been taken against the culprits yet. A complaint was lodged with the CID in Kolkata after a student Salina Khatun, of class XI of Nagharia Higher Secondary School had managed a fake Madhyamik mark sheet, on the basis of which she took admission in class XI. The CID had sought assistance from the Malda DI office and inspectors Mr Subodh Chatterjee and Mr Partha Jha to help the investigating officer Mohd. Ilias to find out the records of Salina Khatun. After investigation it was found that she was the student of Pramilabala High School at Koklamari in English Bazaar and had passed her Madhyamik exams from there according to the mark sheet submitted to the Nagharia Higher The CID officials finally detected that before taking admission in another school Salina's mark sheet was attested from Pramilabala High School. In the report to the headquarters the Malda CID had pointed out that a few teachers of this school were involved in issuing the fake mark sheet to Salina. n SNS
