Boy kills sister for 'food'

MALDA, Sept. 22: A 12-year-old-boy, Ajmal Sheikh, killed his elder sister Akhtara (22) in Uttar Dariapur.

The boy hacked Akhtara to death, in front of the family members, and fled from his home.

Ajmal had asked the victim to prepare some food since he was hungry.

When she refused to do so, he insulted his sister, who was a divorcee and was staying in her father's house.

Akhtara picked up a stick to beat Ajmal up but he snatched it and beat her up instead.

Akhtara then picked up a sharp weapon to scare away her younger brother who overpowered her and killed her. n SNS
