Brahmaputra Mail detained for two hours

MALDA, Sept.18:
The New Delhi bound Brahmaputra Mail was detained for over two hours at Chamagram Station near Farakka this morning after it was detected that a wheel had caught fire.

The train was stopped at Chamagram Station when railway men working on tracks near Jamirghata Station observed that one of the wheels had caught fire.

The stationmaster of Chamargam Mr. A Kumar informed the matter to the higher authorities following which, inspectors Mr. H K Singh from Malda Town Station and Mr. M Sharma from Farakka rushed to the spot and found a wheel attached to a coach no. SN-1 had broken and caught fire.

The coach was replaced after verification and the train left eh station after 8 am today.
