MALDA, March 13: The Chanchal SDO Mr. Debasish Sarkar has asked the Chanchal-I panchayat samiti sabahpati Mrs. Dali Choudhury to explain why she would not be disqualified from the post possessing caste certificate managed by false statement and information from the government. After receiving a letter from the Darjeeling SDO with the copy of High Court order related to caste certificate, the Chanchal SDO Mr. Debasish Sarkar said that he issued a letter to the panchayat samiti sabhapati requesting her to submit that caste certificate to the Darjeeling SDO by 24 March. “I will conduct a hearing on the issue of ‘fake’ caste certificate sabhapati of Chanchal panchayet samiti next week before disqualify her following the order of the court. I have asked her why you should not be disqualified”, the SDO said. It may be noted that Mrs. Choudhury had filed a writ petition to the High Court challenging the government direction when it was proved that she had managed the schedule caste certificate giving false statement and information. The government had started investigation following a complaint lodged by the former Panchayat samiti sabhapati Mrs. Shova Das. ” I will remove her officially after conducting a hearing “, the SDO said.
