MALDA, March 27: In order to avoid an accident, the Habibpur block officials have recommended the Aiho Girls high school building be demolished.School authorities had appealed to the concerned officials seeking funds for reconstruction of the building. But the process was stalled following the notification of Kharba assembly by-poll. The district inspector of schools told the school authorities to approach the block authorities to find an alternative way. “The engineers of Habibpur block conducted stability tests of the building and recommended the building be demolished soon to avoid any untoward incident,” said Malda DI, Mr Chinmay Sarkar. “Construction of a new building and other matters will be finalised later,” he added.
