Police still clueless about boy's murder

MALDA, March 7: The police are clueless about the murderer of Ranjit Chowdhury (18) a class XI student, who was missing since 3 March from his house at Khaskol in English Bazaar police station. The victim's body was recovered today at Khaskol. The police suspect the youth was murdered over a feud. According to the Malda S P, Mr Satyajit Bandyopadhyay, the youth used to live at his maternal uncle's house at Khaskol. A few months back Ranjit's maternal aunt was allegedly raped. Police had initiated a case against the accused, which is still under trial in the court. “We suspect that a group wanted the rape charge against the culprits withdrawn and they took revenge murdering Ranjit,” said the Malda SP. Two persons had taken the victim along with them on the day he went missing. n sns
