Bomb in school bag

MALDA, Aug. 14: Classes were suspended at Durlavpur High School in Kaliachak II block after a hand-made bomb was recovered from a Class X student today. The Malda SP, Mr DK Mondal, said that police were confused after interrogating the students, who had brought the bomb in a handbag to the school today. Sudeb Mandal and Samit Mandal, the students of the school, informed the police that a man forced them to carry the handbag containing the bomb to school at Amrity in English Bazaar. “The students were reluctant to accept the handbag but were forced to do so. After reaching the school, they left the handbag along with their bicycles outside,” police said. It was learnt that another student, who detected the handbag, informed the class teacher about it. “We need to do more investigation in order to know the exact motive behind the plot.
