FIR against Cong MLA

MALDA, Aug. 22: Trinamul Congress member of Malda Zilla Parishad, Mr Susanta Sarkar, today lodged an FIR against Mr KN Choudhury, the Congress MLA from English Bazaar. Mr Sarkar has alleged that the Congress MLA from English Bazaar threatened him with dire consequences after he refused to accept his unjustified proposals. Trinamul Congress members took out a rally today led by the present district chief of the party, Mr Dulal Sarkar, to protest against the incident and lodged an FIR with the English Bazaar police station. Mr Sarkar was very close to Mr KN Choudhury when he was the district president of the Trinamul Congress before joining Congress. Mr KN Choudhury said: “I requested him to take up some development works in my area, but he took it sentimentally.” Sources said that Mr Susanta Sarkar had been threatened not to attend a convention organised by the Trinamul Congress recently at Malda town. Mr Dulal Sarkar allegedly took the opportunity to teach a lesson to Mr KN Choudhury after the incident.
