MALDA, 8 DEC: Popular Bengali writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay today inaugurated the 21st Malda Book Fair at the Malda College ground. The fair would continue till 14 December. In his inaugural speech, the writer said: “I hesitate to say all books are our friends. We need to shortlist our books. We have to learn from life and environment, books are secondary.” According to the fair committee, 140 publishers and booksellers are participating in the fair. For the first time 16 English book publishers are also participating. ;SNS
